Watford 0-5 Liverpool
Goals: Firmino x3, Salah, Mane
Watford formation: 5-4-1 Liverpool formation: 4-3-3
-Liverpool pressed high right from the off giving little time for Watford to settle into the game. This resulted in an early goal as Salah played an exquisite ball into Mane who finished at the 8th minute
-The Reds were relentless making it difficult for any side to play however Watford could have done better
-The Hornets pressing off the ball was lacklustre and failed to win second balls... only Sissoko out of the 11 did his job well
-Ranieri made a mistake in my view to play Sarr through the middle as opposed to the wing. He would have caused Robertson many problems with his pace & trickery but having played through the centre he couldn't showcase that
-Individual brilliance was a factor too as Salah absolutely bamboozled the Watford defence to finish the game off
-Firmino got himself forward into the box which led to his hat-trick of tap ins. This tactical move paid off and could be the key to him scoring more often
