Goals: Salah x3, Keita, Jota
Formations:
Man United : 4-2-3-1 Liverpool: 4-3-3
Analysis:
-An utter demolition from Liverpool today! The intensity of their pressing was insane which led to the abundance of chances and lack of chances for Man United
-United's defending was shambolic. Several basic errors were for example Wan-Bissaka pushing forward leaving space on the right for Robertson to play the ball to the winger... Another one was the second goal as Trent was given all the time in the world to play the cross as Shaw failed to track his run
-Ole made a tactical error by trying to press high on Liverpool considering the quality of the opponents. They should have played on the counter using the pace of Greenwood & Rashford to cause problems. If the opponents can play the ball so quickly and efficiently as Liverpool it's not worth telling the full-backs to push up to the half-way line. It was the game to sit back and play with a 4-5-1 when in the defensive phase moving to a 4-3-3 on the attack
-Huge credit must go to Liverpool's clinical finishing as it's one thing to create chances but it's another to score them.
-Salah is playing out of this world at the moment with yet another hat-trick following a brace against Atletico on Tuesday!
